Manning Road Dental is a family dental clinic registered with all health funds in Manning, Western Australia (near Salter Point, Waterford, Como and Applecross). After welcoming a steady following of loyal clients for many years, the clinic was recently (June 2024) purchased by experienced family dentist, Dr Aran Moorthy. New patients are welcomed, and we look forward to meeting you soon!
Manning Road Dental offers the complete suite
of general dental services, with a focus on:
examinations, scale and cleans
such as teeth whitening, porcelain veneers and porcelain crowns
for assessment, education, dental exams, cleans and fluoride treatments
including partial and full dentures, implant-supported overdentures
for both crowns and implant-supported dentures
Aran is a highly experienced dentist and owner of three busy dental practices. Born and bred in Perth, Dr Moorthy was educated at Christchurch Grammar School and has a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide. As a general dentist, he treats with a variety of dental concerns, including restorative care, endodontics, crowns and bridges, implants, extractions and clear aligners (e.g. ClearCorrect and Invisalign), and has a special interest in prosthodontics and orthodontics.
When not working, Aran is busy spending time with his family and looking after his two young daughters. He is also an avid sports fan, with his favourites being AFL and basketball.
Dr Jacqui earned her Master of Dentistry from Griffith University and began her professional journey in Melbourne after leaving the sunny Gold Coast. She has since returned to her hometown of Perth, bringing her wealth of experience and a dedication to patient care.
Known for her warm and approachable manner, Dr. Jacqui excels at creating a relaxed and welcoming environment for every patient. As the daughter of the esteemed Dr Bing Darmago (dentist and clinic owner), she’s excited to continue the legacy of exceptional care at what is now Manning Road Dental (renamed in June 2024).
Her diverse experiences in urban and rural Queensland have shaped her well-rounded approach to dentistry. She is keenly interested in endodontics and oral surgery and always seeks opportunities to enhance her skills.
Outside the clinic, you’ll find Dr Jacqui embracing her passions—whether it’s running, attending live rock shows or indulging her adventurous spirit.
Dr Bing Darmago has been a trusted name in dentistry in Manning for over 30 years. A graduate of the University of Western Australia (UWA), Dr Darmago has dedicated his career to providing high-quality dental care to the Manning community, serving generations of local families with care and compassion. With a particular passion for crown and bridge dentistry, Dr Bing has built a reputation for excellence and attention to detail in restoring patients’ smiles and confidence.
Recently, Dr Bing made the heartfelt decision to sell his beloved dental practice to its current owner, Dr Aran Moorthy, to ensure that its legacy of patient-focused care continues. When not in the dental chair, Dr Darmago enjoys spending his free time fishing, which allows him to unwind and connect with nature.
Christine has an Associate Diploma in Dental Therapy from Curtin University. A highly experienced practitioner, Christine has had the longest work placement at Manning Road Dental, having worked there for 35 years. During this time she’s enjoyed seeing various families grow and the generations that come and go.
Christine has spent four years working as a nurse in orthodontics. However, most of her dental therapy career has been in general dentistry — and 15 years in periodontal specialist practice. She divides her career time these days between working at Manning Road Dental and in a specialist dental implant practice in Booraoon.
When not working, she enjoys spending time in the garden, exercising, cycling, painting and spending time with family.
Lois joins us with a Bachelor of Science in Oral Health Therapy from Curtin University. She has a special interest in children’s dentistry, geriodontics and periodontics. Lois loves her job as it allows her to enable people to improve their oral health in a supportive, positive environment. Outside of work, Lois is busy going to the gym!
Lisa has been with Manning Road Dental for several years and particularly enjoys working in endodontics and helping with crown and bridge work. Her favourite part of her job is her variety of work and her engagement with so many varied patients. In her (limited) spare time, she enjoys cooking and exercising.
Awang has been a dental receptionist and nurse at Manning Road Dental for over 20 years. Her favourite part of the job is her daily interactions and connections with our patients and the supportive and friendly work environment. Outside the clinic, she enjoys travelling and exploring new places and cultures. She also enjoys keeping active at the gym.
